Lanka Adventure Expedition

This expedition is designed for travellers seeking a dynamic blend of adventure, nature, and discovery across Sri Lanka’s most diverse landscapes. From misty highland treks and rainforest rivers to wildlife safaris and coastal energy, the journey delivers continuous variety and movement.

Each region introduces a new rhythm, culture in the hills, adrenaline in the forests, wildlife in the plains, and relaxation by the ocean; creating a complete adventure circuit of the island. It is structured for active travellers who want both challenge and comfort in equal measure.

Day 01

Arrival & Colombo Introduction

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Colombo. Enjoy a relaxed evening with optional city orientation or leisure time after the journey. Overnight in Colombo.

 

Day 02

Colombo to Kandy (Cultural Warm-Up)

Travel to Kandy through scenic inland routes. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, followed by an evening lakeside walk or cultural performance. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 03

Kandy to Hanthana (First Adventure Layer)

Transfer to Hanthana Mountain Range for a guided hike through tea-covered hills and forested terrain. Enjoy panoramic viewpoints and nature immersion throughout the day.

Overnight in an eco-lodge in Hanthana.

 

Day 04

Hanthana to Hatton (Highland Transition)

Drive into the central highlands of Hatton. Explore tea estates through guided walks or cycling experiences. Optional sunset viewpoint visit completes the day. Overnight in Hatton.

 

Day 05

Hatton to Kitulgala (Water & Forest Adventure)

Visit Laxapana Falls before continuing to Kitulgala, a rainforest region known for adventure activities. Enjoy river exploration or short jungle treks in the evening. Overnight in Kitulgala.

 

Day 06

Kitulgala Adventure Day

Experience white-water rafting on the Kelani River, one of Sri Lanka’s top adventure activities. Optional canyoning or rainforest trekking adds further excitement. Evening relaxation by the river. Overnight in Kitulgala.

 

Day 07

Kitulgala to Nuwara Eliya (Cool Highlands)

Travel to Nuwara Eliya through scenic routes, stopping at tea plantations and waterfalls along the way. Arrive in the cool-climate hill station and relax in the evening. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 08

Horton Plains Trekking Experience

Early morning guided hike at Horton Plains National Park to World’s End and Baker’s Falls. Return to Nuwara Eliya for a relaxed afternoon in the highlands. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 09

Scenic Train to Ella

Board the iconic train journey from Nanu Oya to Ella through misty tea plantations and valleys. Arrive in Ella and enjoy a relaxed evening with mountain views. Overnight in Ella.

 

Day 10

Ella Adventure Day

Visit Nine Arches Bridge and hike to Little Adam’s Peak. Optional adventure activities include zip-lining or mountain biking for thrill seekers. Overnight in Ella.

Day 11

Ella to Yala (Wildlife Experience)

Travel to Yala National Park for an afternoon safari. Spot elephants, leopards, and diverse birdlife in one of Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife reserves. Overnight in a safari lodge.

 

Day 12

Yala to Mirissa (Coastal Energy)

Drive to Mirissa for a coastal transition. Enjoy beach time with optional surfing or ocean relaxation. Overnight in Mirissa.

 

Day 13

Mirissa to Galle (Coastal Culture)

Optional early whale watching (seasonal: Nov–Apr) or surfing session. Continue to Galle and explore the historic Galle Fort with its cafés, colonial streets, and ocean views. Overnight in Galle.

 

Day 14

Departure

Return to Colombo with optional shopping stops along the way. Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure, concluding your adventure expedition.
